With over seven years of experience, I work at the intersection of branding, publishing, exhibition design, and digital media. My practice explores how emerging technologies, especially artificial intelligence, reshape intimacy, presence, and perception. Through multimedia formats and speculative design, I examine themes of emotional datafication, time, isolation, and constant surveillance. Interdisciplinary methods and psychoanalytic thought are central to my practice, serving as tools for reflecting on what it means to be seen, heard, or replaced by technology.
I draw inspiration from cinema, photography, modern art, philosophy, and other disciplines. For me, design is about balancing aesthetics with meaning, creating work that not only evokes emotion but also addresses real needs.
The creative process involved crafting 3D models for each composition to fully capture the essence of these cultures and their defining characteristics. Each book serves as a visual representation of a civilisation, with special attention given to the spines, as they are the most visible element when displayed on a shelf. To bring the designs to life, I played with the concept of animation, accentuating the figures’ ears on the spines to suggest that the books themselves are listening to the conversations around them.
By showcasing the figures in profile, I highlighted the unique features of each civilisation, further distinguishing their characters. This research-driven project demonstrates an open-ended approach, exploring and experimenting with relevant media to celebrate these remarkable cultures.
